Kodaline estimate that someone gets proposed to at nearly 80% of their concerts

OVER THE YEARS, we’ve witnessed a staggering number of Kodaline-themed wedding proposals.
There’s this one, for example. Kodaline headed to a London pub to help a guy propose to his girlfriend, who was such a big fan of Kodaline that she named her baby Kodie. Yeah, seriously.
Even Kodaline’s bassist Jason Boland decided to propose to his girlfriend on stage when they were supporting Ed Sheeran in Dublin in 2015.
Kodaline’s drummer Vinny May spoke to BBC about just how frequently wedding proposals occur at Kodaline concerts.

He told music reporter Mark Savage:
These proposals take place literally all over the world. From Dublin, to most recently, the Philippines. Vinny said that some couples want to take it even further:

Kodaline’s frontman Steve Garrigan said that the most popular song for proposals is ‘The One’, a song he wrote as a wedding present for a friend.
The song that fans love to propose to has been banned from the weddings of the Kodaline boys. Vinny refused to have it played at his own wedding.
Fair.

The Kodaline lads also struggled to explain what chicken fillet roll was to the interviewer from the BBC.
When asked what they missed the most, Steve said:
As much as the lads tried to describe the uniqueness of an Irish chicken fillet roll, this guy just wasn’t getting it, and responded “I’m pretty sure you can get that outside of Dublin.”
